SLF CONFERENCE IN ST ALBANS. AFTER THE GENERAL ELECTION: WHAT NEXT FOR THE LIBDEMS?

Apologies we have had to cancel this event as it is too soon after the general election and we cannot proceed with this.

We will refund all those who have bought tickets and those who paid for their stalls ASAP after the general election.

We can confirm that Daisy Cooper MP and Layla Moran MP will be our headline speakers for the SLF conference on the 13th July.
We are currently putting the program together, more details will become available. A lot of this will depend whether we have a general election in April/May or later this year in the autumn. We do not expect a general election to clash with our conference date.

It seems highly likely that this year we will elect a non-Tory government. How will the Liberal Democrats adjust to the new political environment?

We intend to look at the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for social liberalism given the prospects of a new left of centre government that may be elected into office this year.

The cost of the ticket includes the cost of the catering provided by local activist Harriet Sherlock. Vegan options will be available. Please advise if you have any special requirements by emailing [email protected]

We have found a superb venue for this conference, St Paul's church has excellent facilities including wheelchair access.

It is on Blandford Road a 10 minute walk from the train station.
