The retreat from globalisation

The 2017 Beveridge Lecture was given by Lord William Wallace.

Join us for a day of debate and networking with fellow Liberals on the important topic of globalisation today.

We are delighted to announce that the William Beveridge Memorial Lecture will be given by Lord William Wallace (Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office).

Other speakers will include Sarah Olney, David Howarth (former MP for Cambridge), Sir Lawrence Freedman (Emeritus Professor of War Studies at King's College London), Ed Davey MP, Daisy Cooper, Mark CampanaleCaron Lindsay, Joyce Onstad, Helen Flynn, Seth Thevoz plus others drawn from within and outside the Liberal Democrats.

We have rejigged the programme to give you a chance to discuss the General Election and its aftermath. We will also hold a Leadership hustings and Vince Cable will be sharing his vision for the party with us and answering questions. If any other candidates come forward before Saturday they will, of course, be invited to take part.

When?

The Conference will run from 10.30am to 5pm. Refreshments will be served from 10am.

How much?

Early Bird rate: £30 (until 5th July)

Full price: £40 (from 6th July)

Concessions: £15.

Rates include tea, coffee & lunch.
