The Social Liberal Forum is pleased to be hosting the 2020 Beveridge Lecture on Social Liberalism in the 21st Century.

This year's lecture is being delivered by Clive Lewis, M.P.

 

About Clive Lewis

Clive was elected the Labour MP for Norwich South in May 2015.  Before entering Parliament Clive was Vice President of the National Union of Students, a BBC TV political reporter as well as Army reservist infantry officer, serving a combat tour of Afghanistan in 2009.  He has been Shadow Minister for Climate Change & Energy, Shadow Secretary of State for Defence, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and, mostly recently, Shadow Minister for the Treasury, with a focus on Environmental Economics and Sustainable Finance. He is a keen supporter of both Proportional Representation and a Progressive Alliance, and recently ran for Leader of the Labour Party, with a core focus of putting democracy at the heart of the party.

 

This year's lecture will take place via Zoom webinar, on Thursday 30th July at 7pm. The lecture will be delivered live, followed by a Q&A.
