The Social Liberal Forum were delighted to return to 2026 Spring Liberal Democrat Conference, with a packed agenda of lunches & dinners, fringe sessions and wider activity. We welcomed Parliamentarians, Councillors and other elected representatives from the Liberal Democrats.
PRE-CONFERENCE LUNCH
Our Pre-Conference Lunch offered a social opportunity for Social Liberal Forum members and supporters to engage and network ahead of Conference. Hosted by Cllr Wendy Taylor, Chair of the LGA Health & Wellbeing Committee, the SLF were delighted to hear from our VIP guest Victoria Collins MP: Science, Innovation & Technology Spokesperson and Vice-President of the Party.

GETTING THE TECH REVOLUTION RIGHT: POWER, INCLUSION AND COMMUNITY
PRE-CONFERENCE VISION WORKSHOP
Our Spring Conference "Vision" Workshop brought together Social Liberal Forum members to discuss the opportunities for a stronger vision for the Liberal Democrats, and how social liberalism can be the foundation off of which to build this popular and values-based vision for the Liberal Democrats.
This private event was exclusive for Social Liberal Forum members and held under Chatham House rules.
FRINGE SESSION 1: No excuses, Liberalism as an Antidote to Populism
The SLF's first Fringe session of the Conference brought together leaders across the largest and most influential organisations within the party, to discuss how liberalism was the answer and antidote to Populism. This session formed part of our policy work on helping the party develop a stronger, clearer more electorally successful vision. Speakers included:

FRINGE SESSION 2: The Economy, Something for Everyone
The Social Liberal Forum were delighted to host our second Fringe, on the key issue of the economy, inviting a number of the Liberal Democrats' own 'Thriving Economy Working Group' members. The Fringe discussed all things from growth and inequality to tax reform and long-term thinking. This session formed part of our policy work on helping the party develop a better policy offering on Economic Affairs. Speakers included:
