    This new report commissioned by the Social Liberal Forum from the UBI Center, a US-based research organisation, is explicitly intended as a challenge to the UK basic income debate - and particularly the Liberal Democrat policy development process - to keep in mind the true potential of Universal Basic Income as a transformative policy intervention. To do this, the UBI Center team have taken a "blank slate" approach.

    In this hard-hitting new Report for the Social Liberal Forum Edward Robinson, a former council member of the Social Liberal Forum and a Director of Culmer Raphael, outlines the scale of the challenge that social liberals of all parties have to face in-order to address The Menace of Climate Change.

  • Citizens' Britain: A Radical Agenda for the 2020s

    This new report by SLF Council Member Jon Alexander and Director Dr Ian Kearns is rooted in new data commissioned from the polling company YouGov. The report is a follow up to Winning for Britain, picking up the challenge set in that report of identifying “a distinct, progressive, liberal alternative”. Citizens’ Britain, a country where every voice is heard, and where we work together to solve the problems we face, is that alternative.

    This new report by SLF Director Ian Kearns, and SLF Council Member Jon Alexander, was prepared with extensive data input from the political consultancy, Datapraxis. The report was released to coincide with the start of the 2020 Lib Dem Autumn Virtual Conference and is the first data rich analysis of the disastrous 2019 Lib Dem election campaign.
