This is the formal notice for the AGM of the Social Liberal Forum.
It will be held from 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 22 by Zoom.
The AGM is normally held in May, but it has been deferred this year as a result of the pandemic. The Council has changed during the year as a result of the biennial election of the governing Council which took place during the summer of 2020.
The formal business will be to receive and consider the Annual Report from the Council relating to 2019 and to receive and approve the Annual Accounts for that year.
Cllr Iain Brodie-Browne, SLF Chair and Dr Ian Kearns, SLF Director, will report briefly on activity during 2020 and plans for 2021. Members may submit motions for consideration and are requested to do so not later than 14 days before the meeting which is November 8th.
At 10.30 a.m., we shall be joined by
Daisy Cooper, MP
Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Commons
Daisy will lead a conversation for an hour amongst SLF members about the political ideas and priorities for the Liberal Democrats.
Members and supporters of the SLF will be invited to register for this event at the beginning of November. This is to ensure that we can arrange for the appropriate Zoom capacity.
