Q: What do you think would be the 3 biggest threats and 3 biggest opportunities facing the Liberal Democrats? A: It will be hard to get over the message that people can trust us after what happened with the Students. People do not really know what we stand for anymore. The situation at the moment is a little like the 1930’s people are looking to the extremes. Liberals and the Centre Parties are seen as being too soft.
Looking at opportunities for us, we must at the very least put up as many candidates as we can and fly the flag. We have got to fight as hard as we can and perhaps the out come will not be as bad as it could be. People must be told what good we have done over the last five years.

Q: What do you think would be the 3 biggest threats and 3 biggest opportunities facing the Liberal Democrats? A: THREATS
1) Being seen as Conservative supporters
2) Being seen as Labour supporters
3) Being seen as an irrelevant leftover from a bygone age with no ideas about our current situation.
OPPORTUNITIES
1) Being seen as able to offer relevant solutions to our current problems that are neither for the benefit the rich and powerfull (Conservative / UKIP) nor for the benefit of the lazy and irresponsible (Labour)
2) Being able to show that we are able to act responsibly as a party of government.
3) Being in a position to benefit if and when the public recognise the weakness of the other parties policies.

Q: What do you think would be the 3 biggest threats and 3 biggest opportunities facing the Liberal Democrats? A: UKIP has dumbed down all debate – when will the electorate sus them?
Obviously Nick’s brave entry into coalition has lost, and is still losing us , members (I am a membership secretary!) – many of our former supporters still have the ‘In bed with’ mentality.
The Tories have cunningly stolen some of our taxation promises (and much besides) and as usual we have a devil of a job out-shouting their publicity with the voters. Oh, and Labour have again forgotten that Beveridge was a Liberal.
